"LITTLE JOYA"

Back at the end of last year, we were frankly excited and ready to take you back down the years to the first two Rafael Toral records, Sound Mind Sound Body and Wave Field, remastered and repackaged to appear on vinyl for the first time ever!  Haley Fohr, of experimental folk project Circuit des Yeux, performs an original soundtrack for one of the first art films ever made---Salomé, the 1923 silent film adaptation of a play by Oscar Wilde.

The plot of Salomé has long been an inspiration for moving musical work, most notably for Strauss's opera of the same name, which reflects the shock of modernity in Wilde's text. "LITTLE BLUE EYES"

The more we look it over, the new video fromDrinksconfirms our suspicion that that Cate Le Bon and Tim Presley are two extremely everyday people - it's just the world around them that's insane! Even mundane images of them standing idly about seem to wash through a technicolor prism in this video, mixed with what appear to be home movie-type shots from a tropical vacation.
