It's been a year and then some for Circuit des Yeux! The soundworld of Haley Fohr has been expanding into new dimensions since the very beginning, but following last autumn's release of Reaching For Indigo, she's bolstered her powers with uncanny focus; using her voice in ever-emboldened ways, whether singing Nico's "Elegy for Lenny Bruce", doing performance art or touring around the world with several different bands. She recently performed her soundtrack for the legendary 1923 silent film "Salome" in Chicago and New York, and has just played Le Guess Who? Festival with a specially-written orchestral octet - the GAIA INFINITUS arrangement of Reaching For Indigo.

A couple more weeks in Europe and she'll be back in Chicago, but not yet ready to rest: a December residency at the Hideout threatens to put all the cards on the table! Over three dates, she'll perform in a variety of collaborations, including a duet with Hamid Drake, a "Piece for Voice & Horn in the Key of G" with Nick Broste and Will Miller, a "Piece for Voice & Electronics" with Olivia Black and finally, the GAIA INFINITUS performance of Reaching for Indigo for all of us back on the home front.  And, that's not all: Haley will also be performing at Pitchfork's Midwinter Festival in Chicago for an entire weekend in February! We're gonna be in pieces by the end of it, damn. Make sure that parts of you are there too!
