EXPERT PARENTING ADVICE COURTESY OF THE RED KRAYOLA

posted April 21st, 2016

Pushing the boundaries of popular music, The Red Krayola has been deconstructing rock and roll since before you were born! Since the mid-60s, Mayo Thompson and his revolving cast of supreme collaborators have worn many masks; always ahead of the curve, they constantly evolved with each passing decade to incorporate exciting and modern sounds! Good ol' case-in-point, The Red Krayola with Art & Language's Baby and Child Care just did not resonate with the fat cat industry heads back in 1985 (buncha squares!). Instead, more than thirty years later, Baby and Child Care has been excavated from the vault and will finally receive proper release on May 13th!

"No! No! No! Trust Yourself" is a grooving jam with corrugated, dub-infused basslines dissolving into slithering saxophone twangs, in which Mayo shouts off the pop psychology of Dr. Spock's famous text like a man-father-doctor possessed! Trust yourself, you know more than you think you do and you know an example of The Red Krayola's particular brand of collaboration when you hear it! Listen to "No! No! No! Trust Yourself!" now!
