As the constructs of the new Hexadic album spill out into our air, there's definitely a feeling of atmospheric pressure surrounding our earspace. Part of this is just the way Six Organs of Admittance IS - and part of it is because of what the Wizard of 6OOA, Ben Chasny, has been doing with his time since Ascent. Over the last two years, he's been working constantly to develop a alternative system of musical composition (in a laboratory located within a castle, we presume). With a single listen to this INTENSE new album it's apparent that the Hexadic System has what it takes to free sound and language from rational order and replace calculation with indeterminacy. That's right, Ben used the Hexadic System to determine the keys, chords and lyrics and even the time of composition and performance of everything on Hexadic!

Don't get us wrong. The Hexadic System is a seriously constructed a head trip, but you don't need a diagram to hear Hexadic! Just set your controls for the heart of the sound: a thick, singular blast of discordant, elemental and raw sonics. Hexadic brews and boils with an ominously dark tone in a desolate space, distorted guitars and vocals slashing their way through the walls of sound. Six Organs of Admittance have tapped into some thing ancient, and it sounds like it. This is no longer your pappy's Six Organs of Admittance. It's gone eternal - and it might not be able to end, because The System can create infinite results. You know what? Don't think about that. Just dip you head into Hexadic(out February 17th, preorder now) - an exercise in pure, controlled chaos bursting into your eardrums.
