It's August, and that can only mean one thing - no, no, not that it's time to check out for yet another bank holiday - not 'til next Monday anyway - no, today, it means it's time for Neil Hamburger's nearly annual trip to the UK, wherein he eliminates any doubt that he's the greatest American comedic product, one classic gag at a time! And with one fewer of them left in this world today, let's be sure to appreciate those carrying the torch while they're in their prime, OK? The socially correct response is laughter! Currently in Edinburgh from now til the 24th at the Underbelly Cowgate as part of Edinburgh Fringe Fest, Neil Hamburger gives it to Scotland with a tenderness usually reserved for a good set of bagpipes - so please, return the sentiment in kind? From the 26th thru the 30th, Neil takes his talents to London and the Soho Theatre, where the punchlines may change ever so slightly, but the boffo box-office certainty remains. Chuffed? What more can you ask for? Certainly lots, but at least we can guarantee - Great Britain never laffed like they will at these select engagements!
