Like a river, the fluid Bill Callahan ebbs and flows and has a current all his own. Since the release of Dream River last fall, the man-dude has ridden arrows and small planes to Europe and back, criss-crossed the United States live the proverbial unlanding javelin, and made dub-sense out of his own material via Have Fun With God. And God, what fun we've all had! No one likes to end a party, especially not a swingin' cat like Callahan ("Beer, thank you"), who refuses to go down after one (bowl-full of) punch - and so the night-fight every night continues! August is only a sleepy month if you fancy yourself a perfect capitalist and have done everything your supposed to do for your local fiscal grid ( - or perhaps you are simply in dire need of sleep, like we will be from July's impending Record Store Day activities - but enough with the literal!). Bill's got shows to keep him awake for a couple weeks, with a tour mixing festivals and halls across northern Europe, where the weather figures to be an icy 25 degrees (celsius, whatever that means).
